Using our mobile classroom:

Our mobile PC classroom allows us to bring hands-on training in Acrobat and FrameMaker to you. The course can be presented at a conference or training room at your site that will accommodate 10 students with 10 laptops. Or we can arrange for a site at a local hotel or conference center. Either way, you'll enjoy the benefit of having a large number of your staff trained simultaneously, without the travel expense.

Using your in-house training facility:

If you have an in-house training facility already set up with PCs or Macs, our trainers can step in with course materials and sample files to deliver the training you need.

Custom classes:

Sometimes it's not enough to simply train your staff to use the software. To really complete the job, other elements like workflow and quality standards need to be established. Carl Young Training Associates can work with you to create a custom class that addresses the needs of your entire project. We'll work with your sample files in advance to customize the class to your real work situation. Tailoring a class can often reduce the trial and error that accompanies new projects and the transition into using new software.

Some examples of custom classes:
Working with in-house printing and graphic design functions to create standards for better Acrobat PDF to print production.

Training staff on creating long documents in FrameMaker and setting up templates and workflow guidelines.

Working with existing Quark documents to train designers and production artists on making the switch to InDesign CS.

What does an on-site, custom class cost?

The cost of an on-site or custom class depends on a number of variables. Call us and we'll create an estimate for you. We'll need to know which course you are interested in, if you use PC or Mac, the number of students, your location, how you want to customize the course, and when you would like to schedule the training.
